This course focuses on:

  • Understanding the implications of global business environment in an organization’s strategy, structure, and functions;

  • Reviewing how and why countries differ and presenting an overview of the economics and politics of international trade and investment;

  • Examining the strategies and structures of multinational enterprises (MNEs) and discussing globalization’s human face and social responsibility as well as the paradoxes of the emerging global economy;

  • Focusing on globalization strategy and location of MNEs, costs and benefits of MNEs to host countries, competitive advantages of countries and MNE activity, geographic sources of the competitiveness of firms.
